Ed ecco la terza parte dell’intervista a Bill Bridges, developer di Maghi il Risveglio:

JW: The Supernal Realms represent an interesting new element to the World of Darkness. With the exception of their discussion in the Tome of the Watchtowers can we expect to see a look at the Supernal Realms and it’s denizens in a future supplement book or even as a limited run game line?
JW: I Reami Superni rappresentano un nuovo elemento d’interesse nel Mondo di Tenebra. Con l’eccezione della loro spiegazione in Tome of the Watchtowers possiamo aspettarci di dare un occhiata ai Reami Superni e ai suoi abitanti in un manuale futuro o addirittura come linea di gioco limitata?

BB: Oh, surely. We’ll touch on aspects of it as needed in various books, and probably do a book more specialized about it and the realms, eventually. I can say that there’s a lot of metaphysical discussion about them in the forthcoming Magical Traditions book.

JW: With the Supernal Realms in mind, can we expect any more look at the Oracles and Exarchs of the Supernal Realms and what they may or may not be doing to the Fallen Realm?

BB: Oh, I’m sure we’ll get to them. Some myths of the Exarchs were explored in the Reign of the Exarchs book. We’ll surely delve deeper as the line grows.

BB: The Astral Realms are getting their own book, which has been outlined and assigned as I speak. The Underworld will definitely get some attention, too, although it might not necessarily be as a Mage book, since it applies to the whole World of Darkness. The Lower Depths will probably be explored in the future, too.

JW: On the publishing schedule we have a book referred to only as “Magical Traditions,” can you give us a sneak peek on what sort of information we can expect to find in this book?

BB: Aha, this one again! Magical Traditions addresses how real-world occult traditions are important to mages who are wise enough to realize it and study them. There are true magical secrets here. Sometimes, an echo of the Supernal falls into the Fallen World, cloaked in a mysterious form: as an artifact, an event in time, a place, or more commonly, a symbol or idea. Real-world occult traditions are seeded with these Supernal echoes; when studied and (just as important) practiced, they can empower magic.
BB: Aha, ancora questo! Magical Traditions si occupa di come le vere tradizioni occulte del mondo siano importanti per i maghi che sono abbastanza saggi da capirlo e studiarle. JW: With “The Blood” and the “The Rage” coming out for both Vampire and Werewolf in 2007, should we be looking forward to Mage’s own version of a player’s guide? If so what sort of things would you like it to include?

BB: I’d like to do one. I proposed one a while back, but other books took precedence (like Magical Traditions). I certainly intend to do one eventually.

JW: “Tome of Mysteries” is out, with this book being hailed as the “Player’s Guide to Magic” are there any other sort of Arcana expanding books (such as Matter’s magical amalgams (such as orichalchum), strange Life created beings, Force’s odd energies and the like) in the future or is this Mage’s definitive work on the subject?

BB: A game about magic can never exhaust all the possibilities. Tome of the Mysteries touches on many topics, but couldn’t deal deeply with all of them. It’s there to inspire ideas that players and Storytellers can develop more fully in their games, until we can do more books about them (such as, heh, archmastery).
